Myofascial Release is a soft tissue therapy that is applied to the muscles (myo) and the soft connective tissue around the muscles (fascia).
Damage to your muscles can result from several things:
- strain (stretching or tearing)
- long-term spasm
- poor posture
- poor ergonomics
Myofascial release therapy is used to treat the injuries and imbalances that occur in the muscles. It relaxes contracted muscles, improves blood circulation, and stimulates the stretch reflex in muscles.
